Cina Cina – Film Residencies is a space dedicated to the development and strengthening of feature film projects from Iberoamerica. It emerged from the shared need of a group of filmmakers to create a suitable environment for the creative process of their projects.
What began as an informal initiative soon evolved into a broader project, while maintaining the spirit of collaboration and mutual support. We realized the importance of designing a space created by and for filmmakers from the region, based on our own experiences in residencies, workshops, and other creative spaces.
Our goal is to create an immersive work environment, away from cities and in contact with nature, that enhances creativity and cinematic inventiveness. We provide exclusive time and space for project development, fostering collaboration among participants and offering access to outstanding industry consultants.
We see ourselves as part of a growing network of regional initiatives aimed at strengthening the creation of our own validation spaces, peer exchange, and contributing to the production of representations that respond to the cultural and political singularities of Iberoamerica.
